Asus can take credit for kicking off the Netbook boom with the introduction of the Asus Eee PC the first of the small laptop computers. The small notebook computer line from Asus now contains between 15 and 20 models depending on where you are in the world. There are a number of choices in terms of product features. There are storage choices ranging from SSD Solid State Disk to hard drive models. The operating systems range from Xandros which is a custom Linux build to Windows XP. In the processor area the company has moved from Celeron to the popular Intel Atom processor. There are many choices here to choose from in the $250 or less price range.
