The typical Netbook has a screen size of from 7 inches to 12 inches. High end Netbooks are becoming as capable as Netbooks that have display screens screens as large as 17 inches. The typical Netbook as a screen size of 9 inches and is priced under $500. On the high end models with 10 to 12 inch screens are priced near $1000. Larger models have keyboards that are up to 93% of normal size. A feature to look for are keyboard layouts that have the shift key placement in the same location as a full size keyboard. This is important for touch typists who may be disappointed with the typical Netbook layout. Features to consider when shopping for Netbooks are, bluetooth capability, 3G wireless, external DVD player, screen size, Linux, Windows XP, or Vista operating systems, battery life, weight, and overall size.
